Alex Blyth

about me

I entered the world of freelance writing way back in October 2001, and I'm glad to say I've been pretty busy since then. Here's an overview of what I've been up to.....

I have been published in The Guardian, Independent, Director, People Management, BA Business Life, Media Week, Accountancy, New Media Age, Travel Trade Gazette, Personnel Today, Marketing Week, Third Sector and PR Week, to name just a few.

I have had three books published:

- 'How to grow your business for entrepreneurs', published by Pearson in July 2009
-'365 Ways to Cut Costs', published by the Directory for Social Change in September 2009
-'Brilliant Online Marketing', published by Pearson in December 2010.

I have produced a whole host of marketing and editorial copy for organisations ranging from one-person agencies through to leading design consultancies, and large corporates such as Lloyds TSB, HSBC, PwC, T-Mobile and Capita.

As well as a prolific writer, I am also an award-winning public speaker, and am regularly called upon to speak at conferences, product launches, workshops and other business occasions.

Finally, I also run a series of monthly open training courses for PR professionals, and bespoke, on-demand courses at agencies and in-house departments.
